You have surely thought about the secret to longevity, and most of us believe that it lies in a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a glass of red wine daily.
Well, apparently, according to a wise, 109-year old woman, it is a bit more than that. Jessie Galan, the oldest woman from Scotland, shared her knowledge and the secret to longevity before her death.
She maintains that the key to a healthy and long life is avoiding men.
Back in the 205, she told the Daily Mail:
“My secret to a long life has been staying away from men. They’re just more trouble than they’re worth. I also made sure that I got plenty of exercise, eat a nice warm bowl of porridge every morning and have never gotten married. I always worked hard and seldom would I ever take a holiday. I left home when I was 13 and began a job milking cows. I always had good jobs with very nice people. It’s amazing to see how completely different the world is now from the one I grew up in.”
Ms. Gallan has been independent throughout her entire life and seldom took a holiday. Her caretakers at the nursing home claim that she was an amazing, healthy, and lovely person.
